A fundamental element of the South African education and training system is quality assurance. This is reflected in the various pieces of legislation governing the sector, as well as in the related regulations and SAQA criteria and guidelines. Consequently, education and training quality assurance bodies (ETQAs), as well as providers are required to implement appropriate systems and strategies to ensure continuous improvement in the quality of learning programmes and learner achievements.

In support of this, DMA offers education and training providers a range of appropriately targeted, needs-based quality assurance services geared at enabling both ETQAs and providers to both satisfy the necessary legislative requirements and remain strategically focused on their respective objectives.
